The annual Lollapalooza festival is headed back to South America in a big way next year, as Perry Farrell is bringing his alternative music extravaganza to Argentina for the first time ever, along with return trips to Chile and Brazil. The fourth Chilean edition will take place in Santiago on March 29th and 30th, 2014 with more than 60 acts on the bill, including the Red Hot Chili Peppers,Soundgarden, Nine Inch Nails, Pixies, Arcade Fire, Phoenix, Vampire Weekend, Imagine Dragons and more.
The debut Lollapalooza Argentina will happen on April 1st and 2nd in Buenos Aires, with the Chili Peppers, Soundgarden, Nine Inch Nails and Pixies leading a lineup of more than 50 artists.
- The lineup for Lollapalooza Brazil will be announced next Monday (November 11th), with the festival set for April 5th and 6th in Sao Paulo.
- Farrell said in a statement, “Our perennial trip through South America has become one of the most anticipated times of the year for my family and our extended family (of musicians). I have also been inviting every delightful new acquaintance to join us. They will find it to be an epic journey as well.”
- The U.S. version of Lollapalooza will return to Chicago’s Grant Park next August 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
