Seether has released a lyric video for “Weak,” one of the two new songs featured on the band’s recent hits collection, Seether 2002 – 2013, which arrived late last year. Seether frontman Shaun Morgan told us that he’s surprised at how quickly time has flown by for the band:
[“I cannot believe that it’s been 12 years already. I’m a little upset about how fast I’m getting older (laughs). But at least I can say I’ve had a good time in the past decade or so. I certainly look forward to doing it for another 10 years and then looking back and saying, ‘Man, it’s been another 10 years.’ I can’t complain about anything, man. It’s been great. We’ve had a lot of fun and we’ve got a great fan base and we’ve got good things going on, so I’m excited.”]
- Seether is currently at work on its fifth studio album, which the band started recording at the end of the last month.
- The new disc will follow up 2011’s Holding Onto Strings Better Left To Fray.
- Seether will head out on a headlining tour this spring with support from Black Stone Cherry and Skindred. The dates kick off on April 18th in Huntington, New York, winding down on May 21st in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
- The tour will include Seether’s own Rise Above Fest on May 10th in Bangor, Maine, which will feature performances from Avenged Sevenfold, Hellyeah, Motorhead and more. The event will raise money and awareness for SAVE (Suicide Awareness Voices of Education).
