Julian Casablancas made a brief appearance at Arcade Fire’s Tuesday night performance at Lollapalooza in Argentina, as he crashed the stage wearing the band’s trademark papier mâché head.
Arcade Fire kicked off their headlining set with each member wearing their masks. As the band started playing “Rebellion (Lies)”, it was clear that something was wrong when lead singer Win Butler shouted, “What the f*ck is this?”
The frontman of The Strokes, Casablancas, then lifted off his mask to reveal his identity. Butler said to Casablancas, “Get out of here. Not cool.” Casablancas left the stage, and Arcade Fire began a different song.
- Arcade Fire is headlining Coachella Festival on April 13th and 20th.
