Linkin Park will head to San Diego next month to take part in the annual geek culture phenomenon known as Comic-Con. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the band will headline a new event sponsored by MTV called the MTV Fan Fest, which will take place at downtown San Diego’s PetCo Park on Thursday, July 24th, the first official day of Comic-Con. The Fan Fest will be followed by the mtvU Fandom Awards, with both events open to all Comic-Con badge holders.
- For those not attending, mtvU will air an hourlong special on Sunday, July 27th, at 8:00 p.m. ET, highlighting the best moments and performances.
- Linkin Park’s new album, The Hunting Party, arrives on June 17th and features the singles “Guilty All The Same” and “Until It’s Gone.”
- The band will head out on the Carnivores Tour later this summer with 30 Seconds To Mars and AFI, beginning on August 8th in West Palm Beach, Florida.
