Royal Blood have announced details of their hotly-anticipated debut album.
Featuring the singles ‘Little Monster’ and ‘Come On Over’, their self-titled debut album will be released on 25 August – just after they play at Reading and Leeds festival. Described as ‘a mixture of anguished vocals, ferocious drumming and bass that provides intricate detail as well as a rumble of rhythm’, the LP also features some pretty cool artwork by Dan Hillier.
Speaking to Gigwise ahead earlier this year, Royal Blood frontman Mike Kerr said that he was surprised by their runaway success: “With our band we found out that what we were doing didn’t fit in.
“Everything on the radio and all of the music that was coming out was not riff-based rock, so we were surprised when we had interest from the music industry and we’re still surprised that we’re even on the radio to be honest with you.”
