Coldplay’s Chris Martin told the BBC that their seventh album will likely be their last. A Head Full of Dreams will be the band’s seventh album and “…the way we look at it, it’s like the last Harry Potter book or something like that.” He added, “Not to say that there might not be another thing one day, but this is the completion of something. I have to think of it as the final thing we’re doing. Otherwise we wouldn’t put everything into it.” I know some of you reading this are thinking “Thank you! Please stop!” but if you’ve had the chance to catch the band live, you’ll understand that there is more to the London band than just the song Yellow. The passion they bring to the stage is apparent and there hasn’t been much new brought to the table in the world of live shows since Tommy Lee started playing his drum kit upside down so my admiration for the Xylobands they brought to the 2012 tour is immense.

The butterfly confetti was fairly impressive as well, but probably because I didn’t have to clean it up….

Love them or hate them, A Head Full of Dreams should be out in the middle of next year.
