“Sonic Highways” premiered in October last year on HBO, and now it looks like we might get a second dose. Dave Grohl strongly hinted towards doing a second series in a recent interview with Billboard. The original followed The Foo Fighters around as they went to 8 different cities in America to record their 8th LP. Dave said “There might be a season two… there are a lot of studios.”
If they do a second season, it looks like they would most likely heard to the UK this time, saying “If we went to somewhere like Abbey Road it’d be fun to interview someone like Paul McCartney or George Martin, that’d be kind of cool. Or go to say, Berlin, and interview someone like David Bowie or Iggy [Pop]. You could go to Manchester and interview the Happy Mondays, guys.”
‘Sonic Highways’ will be released April 7 with extended interviews with Barack Obama, the Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach, Joan Jett, Dolly Parton and others.
