Retired Canadian Astronaut Chris Hadfield will release his debut album this fall through Warner Music Canada – the first album recorded in space.
Hadfield recorded his vocals and guitar tracks at the International Space Station during his five-month mission that ended in May 2013. He kept himself busy in the evenings with both his own music, and the music of others:

“The serenity and grace I felt while orbiting our Earth, weightless by the window, gave a whole new place to write and perform music,” Hadfield said in a release.
“I’m delighted to be able to share these completed works as a new way to help tell the stories of early space exploration.”
Robbie Lackritz is producing the album which Hadfield promises will include “Special guests” including The Sheepdogs, Billy Talent, Big Wreck and other Canadian artists according to this tweet:
