Weekend adventure time! Hey have you ever been to the creepy old Buntzen Lake Power Station on the Burrard Inlet?
In 1903 Francis Rattenbury designed a hydro electricity generator for the Vancouver City Light and Power company on the Indian Arm, 150m below Buntzen Lake. Rattenbury is the same guy who designed the Empress in Victoria and the Art Gallery downtown (plus a ton of other Edwardian buildings in Victoria and Vancouver). He had an interesting life which you can read more about here.
The building is spectacular looking (and clearly haunted). Likely the easiest way to see it would be sailing or paddling up the Indian Arm. Since I am not a mariner like Craig Stone, I’ll need to hike down to see those buildings.
and remember, THESE BUILDINGS ARE CLEARLY HAUNTED, pack your water, camera, containment unit, and proton pack.
