Virgin Money in the UK has announced the launch of two Sex Pistols credit cards, “to bring a bit of rebellion to your wallet,” featuring iconic album artwork from Never Mind the Bollocks and Anarchy in the U.K.
From the press release:
“Three options are available, including an eye-catching vertical design, with new technology allowing all customer personalisation (name, card number, expiry date) to be moved to the back of the card preserving the integrity of the Sex Pistols artwork and allowing it to be reproduced in full.”
There are many questions about “selling out” and “punk integrity.” How did this even happen?
Virgin Money formed under Richard Branson—who also signed the Sex Pistols to Virgin Records in the 70s.
