In a recent interview, director Brett Morgan talked about why Kurt Cobain’s mother was furious when she saw “Montage Of Heck.”
Morgan explains, “I said to [Cobain’s mother] … there are things in this movie that your son would not want you to see. I mean, what mother wants to see their child on heroin?”
“I think the best tribute for Kurt is to make a film that’s honest and it’s got integrity. To try to make a film about Kurt presented as some sort of rock and roll fantasy or
the way his mother wanted the world to see him would be … unfitting.”
It’s an interesting interview.
