A Vancouver Island Father jumped into the fray with a cougar to save his two-year-old daughter.
While in the backyard of their Tahsis home with his daughter Bree and wife Andrea, a cougar suddenly attacked and chomped down on their little girl.
Andrea talking to the Vancouver Sun described the events; “At first, we thought it was a large dog. But then we realized – after my husband pulled my daughter out of the way and punched it in the face – that it was actually a cougar.”
“She’s got some small puncture wounds just above her right ear, one on her back and then a couple on her chest.”
What a frightening thing to happen to your family. Huge thumbs up to Travis for acting quickly and saving the day.
Travis said to the CBC, that after the attack they called the Conservation Officers and they came to deal with the cougar.
“What they did is they came and they terminated the animal. Which is sad, you know nobody likes to see that. But on the other hand it had just jumped on my daughter.”
