Welcome to Algarrobo, Chile… a small town on the Pacific Ocean. A playground of sand, surf, and sun for the people of Santiago. It is also home to San Alfonso del Mar, a private resort that features the world’s largest swimming pool. A pool that is three-fifths of a mile long and holds 66-million gallons of treated Pacific Ocean water.
It is built along the coast for those times where you think, “I like swimming in the ocean, but I hate getting attacked by krakens.”
I guess the next time Chilean CFOX DJ Carmen Cruz goes back to her ancestral homeland for a visit, I better tag along.
