OK…not forever…and not a lot of beer, but I’m glad you clicked the link. Let’s learn!
According to the wonderful world of science (and Maxim?), drinking a moderate amount of alcohol (one to two beverages a day) could be good for the aging process. Researchers from the University of Iowa published in the American Society of Human-Genetics that people who drank a moderate amount of booze did not age as rapidly as people that abstained…or worse, people that drank and smoked a lot.
They found that all levels of exposure to smoke were associated with significantly premature aging. Interestingly, moderate alcohol use – about one to two drinks per day – was correlated with the healthiest aging, while very low and high consumption were linked to accelerated aging.
Well look at that…a cocktail after work is required to one day achieve your goal of immortality. No wonder Roger Sterling looked so good.
