I sent this story to my sister Andrea yesterday because she was (still is?) a MEGA Gilmore Girls fan.
When I lived on the Island, my sister moved over to go to UVic, but she didn’t have cable. So she’d come over and watch her Veronica Mars, and Gilmore Girls. I’d be lying if I said I haven’t seen a couple episodes.
The popular WB dramedy aired from 2000 to 2007. During the last season, creator Amy Sherman-Palladino got into some contract trouble at the network and was replaced. Sadly she wasn’t able to finish her series. Now Netflix is in the works to revive the show as four 90-minute movies.
Consequence of Sound reports that many of the key players will return. Netflix is in negotiations with Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, as well as Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, aka Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, for four 90-minute movies.
But what about Sookie St. James? aka Melissa McCarthy? Meanwhile, Melissa McCarthy, who played Sookie St. James, has seen her popularity skyrocket to A-list status in the years since the show signed off the air, and is unlikely to return.
Oh c’mon, you gotta bring back Sookie!

And have you ever heard the Gilmore Guys podcast? Two bros watch every episode of Gilmore Girls and talk about it. As you can understand, they’re pretty hyped.
