Comedy writer Aaron Gillies’ wife doesn’t need much to make her cry. Finding out swans can be gay? That’ll do it. So Aaron did what any husband might do…he wrote down all the times his wife came to tears and shared it on the internet. Then everyone else on the internet shared it. Then someone put it on Reddit… and here we are, 24 hours and almost 26,000 retweets later.
My wife cries at absolutely anything. I mean, ANYTHING. So i started writing the reasons down because reasons. pic.twitter.com/2ZO4gFEfmH

The post is funny, endearing, and relatable for many of us. It also reads a bit like a humblebrag…. “I cooked her dinner after a long day,” “I tried to hold her hand when she wasn’t expecting it.” We get it Aaron, you’re romantical. The post has inspired other people to tweet out the weird shit or funny shit they’ve caught themselves getting emotional over.
Have you ever cried over something weird or trivial?

I love these. I cried because I needed a wee and was stuck in a traffic jam on the motorway the other day.
