Well now there’s an actual sound system that ladies can insert into their *ahem* va-jay-jay’s.
Essentially, it’s the world’s first vaginal sound system.
It’s called ‘Babypod’ and it’s basically a techno-tampon that women can insert so that their unborn fetus can listen to and experience clear sounding music (as opposed to the muffled sounds outside their mother’s belly), months before they’re born.
So what’s the big deal?
Over the years, studies have shown music listened to during pregnancy may have a positive effect on babies after they are born. Some believe that auditory fetal learning can later help with a child’s memory skills and brain development and a recent study out of Barcelona has found that fetuses can detect sound as early as 16 weeks.
So how do the little ones react when having tunes played directly in the womb???
After pumping up the Babypod, ultrasounds showed the fetuses responding to the music by moving their mouths and tongues, as if they were performing a tiny lip sync performance, in utero.
