Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes has implied that he thinks that the Bataclan security detail were in on the terrorist attack that left 89 people dead at the band’s Paris concert last November.
In an interview with Fox Business network, he recalls noticing that when he arrived at the Bataclan venue, the security guard for the backstage area wouldn’t look at him.
“I immediately went to the promoter and said, ‘Who’s that guy? I want to put another dude on,'” Hughes claims. “And he goes, ‘Well some of the other guards aren’t here yet,’ and eventually I found out that six or so wouldn’t show up at all.”
When asked why the guards didn’t arrive, Hughes did not make an official statement “out of respect for the police investigating.” But he did say, “It seems rather obvious that they had a reason not to show up.”
