On Friday The Rolling Stones made rock n roll history…sort of…when they became the first major international band to play on Cuban soil (EDIT: since Obama eased tensions in 2014). Not only did they play the show, they did it for FREE. When a band that big plays a show that historic for free, you’d better believe it’s going to attract more than a few people. 1.2 million people showed up!! 700,000 people inside the venue, and another 500,000 people outside. What does a spectacle like that look like?
And of course The Stones are no strangers to playing free shows. Remember SARS stock in Toronto years and years ago (with ACDC and Rush)?
How about a little bit of free love for the poor saps here on the West Coast?
