Here’s a story that my buddy Jevon sent me. It’s something that might rev the creative energy of any Fox rocking trades people with kids…a Dad in Lethbridge has started a company building incredible playhouses and treehouses. And dog houses too! The type of dog house that when you’re “in the dog house,” you don’t mind.
The playhouses are so spectacular, there is a TLC Reality Show in the works to profile this guy! Wow.
“Project Playhouse” (working title)
Tyson and Audy Leavitt are living their dream by creating the most elaborate, over-the-top playhouses in all of North America out of their family-run shop. From castles to pirate ships to ’50s diners, these playhouses are a far cry from the foursquare walls and tiny plastic homes you might be expecting — they have amazing angles, details like stonework and furniture straight out of a storybook. (High Noon Entertainment)
The average playhouse takes up 91 square feet in your backyard…so if you wanted to build one in your Vancouver backyard…yikes, you’ll need $36,400 in lawn (if you can get property in the city at $400/sq ft)…then Tyson says in an email to CFOX, “We start at $7000 but some customers have spent $100,000.00 and more on playsets.”
Still…dare to dream right! My kids would lose their minds in something like this. I should have paid more attention in Shop class. I wonder if they could build me a replica Winterfell Castle???? for my kids.
From concept to reality, this playhouse is a wrap!
