On Wednesday, Limp Bizkit fans swarmed the Sunoco Station on Wayne Avenue in Dayton, Ohio for a Limp Bizkit concert that never was.
It all started with a Facebook event advertising a Limp Bizkit concert at that location on April 20th, 2017. Many fans marked that they would be attending the event, many misread the date as being on April 20th of this year, and a fair number ignored Tweets from the band, posts from the Dayton city government, and a sign posted on the door of the gas station itself saying that there was no concert.
More than a hundred Limp Bizkit fans gathered outside of the Sunoco Station Wednesday night, and the gas station had to close down. Employees called the police to help evacuate the area.
