Tom DeLonge, who is busy with releasing a multimedia project that includes new music with Angels & Airwaves, says that his future might include his former band, Blink-182.
Blink-182 recently released a new single, “Bored to Death,” which is from their forthcoming new album, California. California is Blink-182’s first album with Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba in place of DeLonge.
In a new Facebook post, DeLonge writes, “I understand all the craziness out there in Internet-land, it is an odd time for fans of the Blink-182 legacy, I know- it’s odd for me, too.
“We DO have a future together if we want it, but for now we are busy doing separate things.”
“I look forward to my upcoming film and music adventures, and a hell of a lot more…
Maybe throw in a bit of Blink-182, if we can build back that ‘special something’ that was once there.?”
DeLonge also said that he isn’t on board with where Blink-182 have taken their music, saying that he thinks the choice of John Feldmann as producer is “too far a change,” and he cites this as an example of their current musical differences.
