The Puff Inn in located on a tiny, remote Island 112 miles from Scotland. The Island has had no permanent residents since the 30s but does have a British defense station…and those soldiers, conservation officers, and scientists are enough to keep a tiny pub in business.
The pub is on Hirta Island which is part of the St. Kilda archipelago. Hirta is the largest island and home to giant colonies of puffins and also the boasts the tallest sea cliffs in the UK. Neat.
As the chief steward at the Puff Inn, you’d be responsible for pulling pints, keeping the place clean and unloading supplies from a helicopter. Cool.
It doesn’t ever get to busy, maybe 20 customers on the busiest night. I don’t know, if you get internet, would it be so bad? I think it would be one heck of an adventure!
St Kilda is home to the highest sea cliffs in Great Britain. The inhabitants used to abseil down them to collect seabird eggs.
