On this day (October 22nd, 1990), exactly 26 years ago, the band we now know as ‘Pearl Jam’ hit the stage at Seattle’s Off Ramp Cafe.
Back then, they were known as ‘Mookie Blaylock’ and barely knew each other.
A timid looking Eddie Vedder stood at the mic and sang to a crowd for the first time.
Little did he know what an amazing lead singer he was going to evolve into.
Lucky for us, someone was packing a camcorder and had the foresight to record a moment or two of what was about to become an iconic rock band’s very first performance ever.
