Today on our current events trivia game, This Is Our World, I said that “King’s Landing is not a real place.”
Turns out I was very wrong, there is a Kings Landing, and it is in New Brunswick. A Fox rocker called up to say that Kings Landing is a historical settlement is about 30 minutes outside of Fredricton.
The place was created by moving historical buildings to the site and they recreate life in New Brunswick in the 1700’s to 1910. It is a living museum, kinda like Fort Langley.
If you search for “Kings Landing” you’ll probably get a bunch of amazing instagrams of Dubrovnik, Croatia. That city was used as the main filming location for Game of Throne’s fantastical capital city. But if you dig a little more, you’ll find some beautiful pictures of the REAL Kings Landing in New Brunswick.
