We have been enjoying a white Christmassy season with cold temperatures around the Lower Mainland. Before milder air pushes the cold away, Environment Canada says we can expect one more snow fall on Saturday night.
A Pacific front reaching the British Columbia coast Saturday night will spread snow to the south coast. Snow will continue through Sunday. The Arctic air that has been with us for nearly two weeks will finally be flushed out by milder Pacific air. Snow will gradually change to rain beginning Sunday night. As usual, snowfalls will be highly variable with higher amounts expected inland and over higher terrain.
Global BC’s meteorologist predicts the snow will fall more on Sunday.
By Monday, most of the urban area of Vancouver should be back to rain and seasonal temps.
The Weather Network’s 14 Day forecast does say that maybe, just maybe, if we wish upon a star, maybe snow on Christmas Day in Vancouver.
