The Castlevania video game series, is a classic late 80s NES brand. The video game follows Simon Belmont of the Belmont clan as he tries to save Eastern Europe from DRACULA! You got a whip and you be smashing smashing monsters with daggers and holy water. Great game.
Word came out yesterday that Netflix will be releasing a new animated series based on the third title, Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. Video game adapatations can be pretty rough, but producer Adi Shankar says not this time. In an interview with Collider he says: “I’m personally guaranteeing that this is going to be the best fucking video game adaptation ever made to date … I’ve seen it, and it’s fucking amazing.”
He also says it could have an animated Game of Thrones vibe to it. Alright.
