The Canucks were able to sign prospect Brock Boeser on the weekend and got him into his first NHL game on Saturday in his home state against the Minnesota Wild.
Boeser was drafted by the Canucks in the first round in 2015. He then played a couple season for the University of North Dakota. The team was bounced out of the NCAA tournament on Friday, and by Saturday morning, he was a Canuck.
Watch him score his first NHL goal during his first game!
Boeser’s family was at the game to celebrate.
The Canucks invited Brock’s parents Duke and Laurie Boeser into the dressing room read out the starting lineup. Boeser wore number 6 just like his old man.
The Canucks next game is Tuesday at home against the Ducks. We’ll have one more chance to boo Kesler and cheer for Bieksa! #2 (but he’ll always be #3 to us) was on The Jeff O’Neil Show this morning to hype the game.
