Yesterday the news broke that the Pemberton Music Festival went broke, and then suddenly cancelled. Ticket holders will not be able to automatically collect a refund and will need to try to get a charge back through their credit card or apply to get a refund.
“As PMF is now in bankruptcy, it has no ability to provide refunds for tickets purchased. However, ticket holders may file a proof of claim form as an unsecured creditor with EYI in accordance with the claims process.”
But that claim doesn’t guarantee customers the full amount they paid. In fact, it doesn’t guarantee them their money at all.
“A determination of recovery, if any, on the claims of ticket holders from the estate will not be known for several weeks.”
But maybe there is an alternative? WayHome Festival in Ontario is offering up passes to anyone with Pemberton tickets.
We have just learned that 2017 Pemberton Festival has been cancelled. We would be remiss to provide the option of attending WayHome to FYRE Festival purchasers and not extend that same offer to our WayHomies in the West.
How to redeem: all 2017 Pemberton Festival ticket holders can redeem their ticket for a 2017 WayHome General Admission Ticket by sending a copy of their unique confirmed Pemberton Festival ticket to the following address; firstname.lastname@example.org. WayHome will keep this offer open until June 30 and will authenticate all requests. Tickets will be redeemed on a on a one for one basis and do not include camping, parking or VIP offers.
Man, I haven’t been to Ontario since like 2007…. where even in Oro Ontario?
