Today the Foo Fighters announced the details for their 9th album, Concrete and Gold. The 11 song album is out on September 15th.
Dave & Co. worked with The Bird & The Bee’s Greg Kurstin on the album. Dave Grohl said he enjoyed how sophisticated their music was, especially the song “Again & Again.”
He promises a rock record that merges pop and hard rock, “the biggest sounding Foo Fighters record ever. To make a gigantic rock record but with Greg Kurstin’s sense of melody and arrangement… Motorhead’s version of Sgt. Pepper’s… or something like that.”
The Foo Fighters also announced a big tour. No dates in Canada and the US stops appear to be secondary markets….but there are a few that might be worth a roadtrip.
