Prime Minister Justin Trudeau took to Twitter recently to announce he’s dropped his highly unanticipated album… er… playlist. He’s compiled a list of 39 songs on Spotify and titled it, simply, ‘PM Mix‘.
Trudeau’s description for the playlist reads: “A mix of old and new favourites currently in heavy rotation on my iPad. Nice and mellow for the most part. Pairs well with sunshine and long days… enjoy.”
His heavily Canadian influenced list includes tracks from Canuck favourites The Tragically Hip, Hawksley Workman, Sarah McLaughlan, and of course, the man from the 6ix himself, Drake.
In this notably safe and easy playlist, PM JT doesn’t seem to take any risks or throw any curve balls with his musical taste. Honestly, we were half hoping to see some Wu Tang, screamcore, or even some obscure Japanese indie rock. Anything out of the ordinary!
But alas, we’re left with Justin’s lukewarm summer tunes. So, put on a nice pair of cotton slacks, grab a cone of vanilla ice cream and listen to the full playlist below.
