Toni Cornell joined OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder onstage during Friday’s Good Morning America to perform an emotional cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.”
They dedicated the song to the late Chris Cornell and Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington. Both singers (and close friends) died by suicide this year.
Linkin Park were originally slated to perform in Central Park as a part of Good Morning America‘s Summer Concert series.
Toni Cornell and Ryan Tedder stepped in to help.
At just 12 years old, young Toni proves that once again, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Chris (and Chester) would be proud.
