The government announced today that tolls on the Port Mann and Golden Ears bridges will be eliminated.
At a press conference today in Port Coquitlam, Premier John Horgan announced that the tolls will be eliminated on September 1st.
“These tolls are unfair… you shouldn’t have to pay tolls because of where you live,” Horgan said. “This is about making life a little easier.”
A free ride over the bridge doesn’t mean that bridge is free however…. we, the taxpayers of British Columbia still need to pay for the massive infrastructure investments….or do we?
