This past wednesday, Korn fans in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania got a major treat! Brian 'Head' Welch played his first show with Korn since 2005 when he left the band after finding God.
From all accounts, the band was tighter and heavier then they have been in years.
The show kicks off a string of dates and it appears thet Head is back to stay. Korn has even been working on a new album and, according to Jon Dabbis' recent tweet, it's the best album they've ever done....Ya, I know, I've heard that from every single band ever, but just look at the setlist from the show...Looks like they are into playing heavy stuff again. Please Korn, no more dubstep.
Korn's setlist from Wednesday:
1. "Blind" 2. "Ball Tongue" 3. "Twist" 4. "Chi" 5. "Falling Away From Me" 6. "Narcissistic Cannibal" 7. "Dead Bodies Everywhere" 8. "Coming Undone" 9. "Did ...

We hear all the time about how bands have to pay some pretty serious dues in order to get to the top. Las Vegas' Imagine Dragons are certainly no exception.
In the early ddays, in order for the guys to pay the rent they would play 6 hour shows at various casino's for $400 a night. doesn't sound too bad, except, when they say 6 hours, they mean 6 hours. Straight. No bathroom breaks or anything.
Wonder if they used piss jugs?

The show is the MusicCares MAP Fund benefit in Los Angeles, happening leter this month.
Who will sing? Your guess is as good as mine! stay tuned!

In a good way...A very good way.
As I was driving a motorhome through The Rockies with my Dad, I get the tweet from @993thefox that has officially made my concert year.
Foxfest 2013: Alice in Chains, Monster Truck and a yet to announced band.... Canada Day, Deer Lake Park...What more could you want.
If you were at last years Foxfest (also Canada Day, Deer Lake but with Sublime, Public Enemy and Daniel Wesley), you no doubt remember what a special day that was.
Here's to the Summer of 2013!
Check the mighty AIC doing the new one, 'Hollow' , on Jimmy Kimmel recently:

Record Store Day is this Saturday, April 20th. If there is one artist who seems like a perfect poster boy for a day like this, it's gotta be Jack White.
I think he's ok with that title, judging by his super cool plan for the big day.
Jack has set up, outside his Third Man Records in Nashville, the worlds only public VINYL recording booth.
Yup, step in the booth and record your very own piece of vinyl! The actual equipment used is a refurbished, 1947 "Voice-O-Graph", check out the video below, it's pretty badass!
Here's Jack White discussing both Record Store Day and the recording booth: "Actively venturing to your local record shop is one of those honors and privileges in this life that we just shouldn't take for granted. Certain beautiful experiences can only happen in the environment of a record store and I just thought that nothing could ...
