UBC's Thunderbird Arena is brand new and it had it's very first show on Sunday.

The Fox presented  Rise Against  with Alkaline Trio, The Gaslight Anthem, and Thrice....before the show Tim and Zach from Rise Against came in for an interview. They also performed Hero of War...acoustically of course.

Ralph Macchio is still acting...according to his Wikipedia page. The last good thing he appeared in was Entourage...in 2005.

I am a huge fan of music.

 

That's probably the most obvious statement coming from a Radio DJ but it's true! 2 of my favourite bands = Queens of the Stone Age and Eagles of Death Metal. When I found out that I was going to be interviewing Jesse Hughes lead singer for E.O.D.M. I almost had a heart attack!

 

*Fast forward to Sunday*  I usually don't get nervous but on the elevator ride down to the main floor of the TD Tower to pick Jesse up...I was UBER nervous. Jesse came around the corner in a very flashy silver jacket and right behind him was another familiar face ....Joey Castillo drummer for Queens of the Stone Age.

 

I damn near died! Yes you read that right.

 

Joey was playing drums for the E.O.D.M. in Vancouver.  I ended up interviewing both of them. They were fabulous ...
