Ill Scarlett's sound can be defined as pop infused rock reggae. They have made a name for themselves in the Canadian music scene and are making their name known throughout the US and around the world. Their most prominent influence is California based band Sublime.
Louder Than Love incorporates everything from hard rock riffs and acoustic folk arrangements, to pop vocal harmonies and dirty blues guitar solos.
The release of their EP Coming Around in the fall of last year meant a great year for LTL in 2011. After returning from a successful cross‐country tour in support of the EP, the band was declared the Platinum winner in the prestigious 99.3 The Fox Seeds competition (past winners include Nickelback, Bif Naked, Daniel Wesley, and Matthew Good), opening for State of Shock and The Trews and playing a sold‐out show at the Commodore Ballroom (voted by Billboard as one of the Ten Best Clubs in North America).
