Good news for L.A. Kings fans, but not so much for Canuck Nation.
It appears injured Canucks winger Daniel Sedin won't be flying to L.A. today with the rest of the team for Games 3 and 4.
CKNW sports reporter Stu Walters says it's a big blow.
"I still think that there's a chance to win without Daniel. He is arguably their best player, but all told, the Canucks were the President's Trophy-winning team and first overall in the league. They're playing an eighth seed and when you line up the two lineups, I still think that the Canucks talent is at least as good, if not better, and they're a more experienced playoff team."
Daniel has not played since March 21, when he was elbowed by Chicago Blackhawks defenceman Duncan Keith.
Game 3 starts Sunday night in L.A. at 7:30 p.m.
The Kings currently lead the series 2-0.
