Allan Reid joined MapleMusic Recordings in October of 2008 as General Manager where he oversees one of Canada’s top independent artist rosters including such artists as Chantal Kreviazuk, Kathleen Edwards, Joel Plaskett, Martha Wainwright, Colin James and The Dears, as well as top international acts Radiohead, Silversun Pickups and David Gray.

Allan began his career in radio as a music director and then joined A&M Records as a promotion rep. His desire to be as close as possible to the creative process led him to A&R where he signed and developed Jann Arden and Ashley MacIsaac. After a couple of years of heading the marketing department for A&M and a series of mergers he returned to A&R as the Sr. VP for Universal Music overseeing a roster that included The Tragically Hip, Sam Roberts, Sarah Harmer, Hedley and more.

Allan has spent 21 years developing some of Canada’s top artists and remains a staunch supporter of Canadian talent and their ability to reach audiences globally.
